- SGLT 2 阻害薬は重症、軽症とわず尿路感染との関連はなかった。

今回の study において、ACEIs と比較し ARB は心筋梗塞の既往がある高齢患者において有害であるどころか寧ろ優れた予後改善効果を示した。

Discussion：
DPP4 阻害剤の使用と比較して SGLT 2 阻害剤の使用による高齢糖尿病患者の性器真菌感染症のリスクは男女問わず増加を認めた。一方尿路感染症のリスク増加は認めなかった。

Discussion：
心血管病発症をアウトカムとしたreal-world dataを用いた非ランダム化比較試験（コホート研究）において，グリメピリドに対するリナグリプチンの優越性は認めなかった．現在，論文化に至っていないが，同アウトカムに対するリナグリプチンとグリメピリドを比較した大規模ランダム化比較試験CAROLINA Trial（79th Scientific Sessions American Diabetes Associationで結果発表およびプレスリリース http://www.diabetes.org/newsroom/press-releases/2019/linagliptin-and-glimepiride.html）においても結果は同様であった．これらの結果は，「以前より懸念されていたスルホニル尿素薬の心血管病発症に対する影響」について再考する必要があることを示唆している．

Discussion：
3-OHB は、心保護及び血行動態改善に寄与することが示唆された。その効果は用量依存症である。当研究では3-OHB 投与による有害性は認めなかった。
