2 型糖尿病患者では，若年 1 型糖尿病患者と異なり，SGLT2 阻害薬による糸球体内圧減少効果は，輸入細動脈収縮より，輸出細動脈拡張の影響が大きい可能性が示唆された．

2型糖尿病患者を3か月毎に医療者用フラッシュグルコースモニタリングを装着する群と対照群に割り付け、12か月観察したところ HbA1c はフラッシュグルコースモニタリング 群と対照群で有意差を認めなかったが、Time in range はフラッシュグルコースモニタリング群で有意に改善した。
