GLP-1受容体アゴニストの週1回製剤であるデュラグルチドの長期投与による膵β細胞への効果をマウスで検証した。血糖降下作用に加え、β細胞機能に有益な効果(β細胞量・サイズ維持、β細胞機能維持遺伝子保持、GLP1R受容体数の維持、抗炎症、抗アポトーシス、抗繊維化など)を示した.
