１型糖尿病患者において、酪酸の投与が自然免疫および獲得免疫に及ぼす影響を検討した。1日4 g の経口投与の安全性は確認されたが、自然および獲得免疫能の変化には至らなかった。

成人 2 型糖尿病患者において、SGLT 2 阻害薬の使用は、GLP-1 受容体作動薬の使用と比較して痛風の発症率が低下した。以上より、SGLT 2 阻害薬が痛風のリスクを低下させる可能性が示唆された。

- Bardoxolone methyl による、糸球体濾過量・ACR 増加は、腎障害を示唆するものではなく腎保護作用に伴う結果と考えられる。
- 同剤は、2型糖尿病且つ腎症症例の腎機能改善に働くと思われる。
