ベースラインBMIく25のうち、ベースラインから体重がその後+2.5ｋｇまで増加した場合では2型DMリスクは約5％である。ベースラインのBMI及びその後のBMIは、1ｋｇ/㎡増加するたびに2型DMリスクの修正HR比は1.16である。体重はGDM後の体重5ｋｇ増加ごとに2型ＤＭリスクは27％増加した。ＧＤＭ診断時に肥満していた女性が出産後に5ｋｇ以上増加した場合、ＧＤＭ診断時に肥満でなく、出産後の体重増加も5ｋｇ未満にとどまっている女性に運動や母乳哺育、妊娠からの期間などの因子を調整してもこの関連は認められた。

Discussion：
常染色体優性家族性高脂血症(ADH)患者において、頸動脈内膜中膜複合体(cIMT)肥厚の進展は、ベースラインのcIMTと過去のスタチンの既往に逆相関を示し、年齢、CVDリスクファクター(血圧、糖尿病、喫煙)に正相関を示した。ADH患者の治療を考えるうえで、ベースラインの動脈硬化性疾患のリスク評価は非常に重要である。
