慢性的な短い睡眠と大幅な睡眠時間の増加はいずれも糖尿病発症リスクを増加させた。2時間以上睡眠が増加することは体重増加と関係していたが、対象が中高年女性であり、何らかの慢性疾患などを反映しているかもしれない。
