Discussion：
深い潰瘍、浸出液、悪臭、創部周囲および前脛骨の浮腫、発熱、CRP上昇が感染した糖尿病足潰瘍の患者における下肢切断の独立した予測因子であることがわかった。また、IWGDFシステムよりも予測価値の高い切断に対する新しいリスクスコアを考案した。これについてはさらなるstudyにより検証される必要がある。

1型糖尿病におけるアルブミン尿を伴わないCKD患者は多くないが、心血管イベント発症や全死亡との関連を認めた。腎予後については明らかな関連を認めなかった。
