今回、短期での HbA1c の改善が一秒率やピークフローを上昇させることが示された。良好な血糖コントロールは、呼吸機能、生命予後に良い影響を及ぼす可能性がある。

Discussion：
経口セマグルチド7mgおよび14 mg/dayは、メトホルミンで血糖コントロールが不十分な2型糖尿病の成人で、SUの有無にかかわらず、シタグリプチンと比べて、26週間にわたりHbA1cを有意に減少させたが、3mg/dayの用量では有意差は認めなかった。
実臨床下での有効性評価のさらなる検討が必要である。

最も恩恵を受けたサブグループは、より高いベースラインの空腹時血糖または HbA1c を有する対象および GDM の病歴を有する女性であった。
